Basa Fish Curry

Ingredients

Basa Fish – ½ Kg

Tamarind – 100 gms

Garam masala – 2 spoons

Chilli Powder – 6 spoons

Coriander Powder – 4 spoons

Turmeric Powder – ½ spoon

Salt – 2 ½ spoons

Onion – 1 No.

Garlic – 1 ½ No.

Tomato – 2 No.s

Fenugreek – 1 spoon

Mustard – 1 ½ spoon

Vegetable Oil – 150 ml

Curry leaves – ¼ bunch

Coriander leaves – ¼ bunch

Method of Preparation

Step 1 – Soak tamarind in water and add turmeric powder, salt, chilli powder, coriander powder, and garam masala, then mix it and keep aside.

Step 2 – Take a frying pan, add oil, mustard, fenugreek curry leaves, sliced onion, and garlic, then after the mixture is fried add tomato to it.

Step 3 – After the mixture is roasted, add the tamarind water mixture made in the first step to this.

Step 4 – Keep cooking the mixture until the consistency becomes thick.

Step 5 – Add the washed and cleaned fish to the curry.

Step 6 – Cook till the fish pieces are cooked properly, then finally add coriander leaves on the gravy.
