Chicken Kofta Curry


Boneless Chicken – ¼ Kg (15 meat balls)

Big sized Onions – 2 No.s

Tomato (Puree) – 4 No.s

Ginger and Garlic –1 ½ teaspoon

Mustard Seeds – 5 gms

Coconut milk -100ml

Chilli Powder – 1teaspoon

Turmeric Powder – ¼ teaspoon

Cumin Seed (Jeera) – ½ teaspoon

Garam masala – ½ teaspoon

Coriander Powder – ½ teaspoon

Cinnamon, Cloves and Cardamom – 2 pieces each

Coriander leaves

Curry leaves

Green Chilli – 2 No.s

Egg – 1 No.

Salt – 1 teaspoon

Method of Preparation

Step 1 – Mince Green Chilli, boneless chicken and salt

Step 2 – To make meatballs, add 1 finely chopped onion, grated coriander leaves and egg to the minced chicken and mix it well then make balls out of it.

Step 3 – Pour oil in a pan add the jeera, curry leaves, mustard seeds and onion to it. Then fry till the onions become golden colour.

Step 4 – Add ginger garlic paste to it and fry till raw smell gets away.

Step 5 – Add Chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and jeera powder then fry it.

Step 6 – Add tomato puree and salt to taste to it and fry till the oil separates from the mixture.

Step 7 – Add 50 ml coconut milk to it and slightly boil it.

Step 8 – Now put the meat balls to the curry and boil it.

Step 9 – After the meatballs are cooked well add the remaining 50 ml of coconut milk and coriander leaves to it.

Step 10 ­– Switch off the flame and lid the curry for 15 minutes.
