Coccinia Gravy

Ingredients

Coconut – ½

Vegetable oil – ¼ litre

Medium Sized Onion – 2 No.s

Tomato – 4 No.s

Big Garlic – 2 No.s

Curry leaves – 2 full stick

Tamarind – 25 gms

Turmeric Powder – ¼ spoon

Chilli Powder – 4 spoon

Coccinia – ½ Kg

Coriander powder – 3 spoon

Mustard seeds – 1 ½ spoon

Method of Preparation

Step 1 – Pierce, the coccinia vertically into 4 and keep it aside.

Step 2 – Half Cook the coccinia in water.

Step 3 – Cut the coconuts, then grind it with 1 chopped onions, 1 chopped garlic, tarmarind, 2 chopped tomatoes and chilli powder, then keep it aside.

Step 4 – Mix the ingredients of step 1 and 2.

Step 5 – Take a fry pan and add oil to it.

Step 6 – After the oil gets warm, add mustard, curry leaves, remaining chopped garlics, turmeric, onions and tomatoes, then roast it.

Step 7 – Now, add step 4 mixture to it, then keeping frying till the gravy becomes thick.

Your Coccinia Gravy is ready!
