Coccinia (Kovakai) Leaves – 10 leaves
Gram Flour (Besan) – 150 grams
Green chilli – 4 No.s
Big Onion – 1 No. (Chopped)
Basil Seeds- ¼ teaspoon
Curry Leaves – 10 leaves
Coriander leaves – ½ bunch (chopped)
Baking Soda – ¼ teaspoon
Salt – ½ teaspoon
Oil – 250 ml
Method of Preparation
Step 1 – Wash the Coccinia (Kovakai) leaves and chop it finely.
Step 2 – Chop the onion, chilli, curry leaves, and coriander leaves finely.
Step 3 – Take a bowl and add Coccinia (Kovakai), gram flour, chopped ingredients in the previous step, baking soda, salt, basil seeds, and 2-3 teaspoon oil.
Step 4 – Add the water to it and mix it well until becomes bonda dough consistency.
Step 5 – Heat the oil in a frying pan, make bonda balls out of the dough, and put it in oil pan to fry.
Step 6 – Frying until the balls become in golden brown color.
Step 7 – Take the bondas out and serve it with chutney.
Your Coccinia (Kovakai) leaves bonda is ready!
