Country Chicken Curry

Ingredients

Country Chicken – ½ kg

Onions – 2 No.s

Tomatoes – 2 No.s

Coconut – 3 small pieces

Garlic – 1 No.

Ginger – 1 small piece

Anise – 1 spoon

Coriander leaves – 1 bunch

Pepper – 1 ½ spoon

Chilli Powder – 3 ½ spoons

Turmeric Powder – ¼ spoon

Coriander Powder – 2 spoons

Vegetable Oil – 50ml

Mustard seeds – ½ spoon

Cinnamon – 1 stick

Cloves – 2 No.s

Salt – 2 spoons

Water – ¾ litre

Method of Preparation

Step 1 – Grind coconut, cinnamon, cloves, anise, coriander leaves, chopped tomatoes, ginger, and garlic, then keep it aside.

Step 2 – Heat oil, mustard, and chopped onions in a cooker. Shallow fry it.

Step 3 ­– Wash the chicken and add it to the cooker, then fry it well for 15 minutes.

Step 4 – Add chilli powder, coriander powder, salt, and turmeric powder into the cooker, then again shallow fry it.

Step 5 – Add the ground ingredients and water to cooker, then close the lid and wait for 6 whistles to cook the chicken well.

Step 6 – After 6 whistles, let the gas slow down and garnish the curry with coriander leaves.
