Mixed Pulse Masala

Ingredients

Channa – 100 gms

Gram dal – 100 gms

Lima Beans (Lobia) – 100 gms

Dry Peas – 100 gms

Wal Beans (Mochakottai) – 100 gms

Big sized onion – 2 No.s

Tomatoes – 3 No.s

Potato – 1 No.

Coriander seeds – 2 spoons

Pepper – 1 spoon

Turmeric powder – ½ spoon

Chilli Powder – 2 spoons

Red Chilli – 8 pieces

Cinnamon – 2 pieces

Cloves – 2 pieces

Anise – 1 spoon

Grated Coconut – ¼ cup

Garlic – 1

Vegetable Oil – 100 ml

Salt – 3 spoons

Mustard Seeds – 1 spoon

Ginger – 1 inch

Method of Preparation

Step 1 – A day before cooking soak Channa, Gram Dal, Lima Beans, Peas, and Wal beans at night.

Step 2 – Take a frying pan, add coriander seeds, pepper, red chillies, cinnamon, cloves, anise, chopped ginger, ½ chopped garlic, 1 chopped onion, and 1 chopped tomato, then fry it.

Step 3 – After frying the ingredients, grind those with grated coconuts, and keep it aside.

Step 4 – Take a cooker, add oil, remaining chopped onions, remaining chopped garlic, chopped potato and chopped tomato, then shallow fry it.

Step 5 – Add chilli powder and turmeric powder, then mix it well.

Step 6 – Add the ground ingredients, to the cooker, then stir it well.

Step 7 – Now add the pulses and salt to it, then lid the cooker and wait for 4 whistles.

Your Mixed Pulse Masala is ready!
