Poha Kheer


Poha (Flattened Rice) – 150 gms

Jaggery – 100 gms

Grated coconut – ½ coconut

Dry fruits and nuts – your choice

Ghee – 6 spoons

Cardamom – 3 pieces

Milk – ½ litre

Saffron – ½ spoon

Method of Preparation

Step 1 – Take a pan, add 3 spoons of ghee, grated coconuts, dry fruits and nuts, and saute it for about a minute and keep it aside.

Step 2 – Take another pan, add remaining ghee and poha and saute it for around a minute.

Step 3 – After sauting add milk and keep sauting it till the milk becomes thick.

Step 4 – Add jaggery and mix it well till the jaggery dissolves, then add cardamom, dry fruits and nuts and saffron to it.

Step 5 – Stir the kheer to about 5 minutes

Your Poha Kheer is ready!
