Poha Pongal


Moong dal – 200 gms

Poha (Flattened Rice) – 250 gms

Pepper – 2 spoons

Cumin Seeds – 3 spoons

Ghee – 5 spoons

Cashew nuts – 10 pieces

Curry leaves – 4 sticks

Salt – 2 ½ spoons

Method of Preparation

Step 1 – Wash and soak the poha for 1 minute and keep it aside.

Step 2 – Roast the moong dal in a frying pan, add salt and add poha to it.

Step 3 – In another frying pan add pepper, cumin seeds, ghee, cashew nuts, and curry leaves, then fry it.

Step 4 – Now add the fried ingredients which were done in the above step to the roasted moong dal mixture and cook it for a minute.

Your Poha Pongal is ready!
